To give something back to the community where we grew up and at the same time educate our children about the importance of giving, we established a fund at the Jewish Community Foundation. As third generation Kansas Citians whose parents and grandparents had been an integral part of the Jewish community through synagogue, temple, business and community service venues, we wanted to continue the tradition of giving. To us, tradition is a tie that binds from one generation to the next.
