Dora Fox
I grew up in a home where philanthropy was a way of life for my family. My father founded a synagogue in Washington, D.C., and the entire family was actively involved in every facet of leadership.
I was surrounded by the idea of giving, and remember the Blue Box in our home, which I later had in my own home!
My parents were fortunate in their lives, and felt that it was their responsibility to repay the community. This was ingrained in both my husband, of blessed memory, and myself. We both wanted to help insure the future of our community.
I am grateful to be able to leave a Lion of Judah Endowment to continue my annual gift to the Jewish Federation. It will continue to support all of the things I have believed in so strongly during my lifetime.
