Doris and Paul Flam

We grew up in caring but modest homes whose parents came from small Eastern European villages. Giving to charity was a family tradition and while the sums were modest, much of it was set aside each week in pushkes. It was a sacrifice for our parents but a wonderful role model for us.

The Jewish Community Foundation of Kansas City has provided an ideal vehicle allowing us to establish a charitable trust that will enrich the Jewish community by supporting educational and senior adult programs. We hope that giving will set an example for our children and grandchildren encouraging them to leave the world a little better for generations to come.
