My connection to Jewish Federation and especially to Women’s Division ( now called Women’s Philanthropy ) began when I was a child in Wichita, Kansas. My parents were always involved, so I knew it was important. Though none of my extended family perished in the Holocaust, it was a powerful catalyst in my wanting to help Judaism survive. As our Holocaust survivors leave us, I fear that we will forget what happened and history could repeat itself. I hope that leaving a small financial legacy to Jewish Federation will in some way help to prevent another tragedy. I have cherished the speakers I have heard through the years : Gerda Klein, Dora Roth, Irene Opdike and so many more. I also cherish the close friendships I have made with wonderful, gifted volunteers in Kansas City.
